November 2007 - Wider Impact Consultancy is delighted to receive praise for its role in managing the ‘Raising the Game – Meeting New Challenges’ Conference, held on the 5th November 2007, on behalf of Unite the Union and community and voluntary sector infrastructure organisation, Voluntary Action Stoke on Trent (VAST).

Aimed at community and voluntary sector, support agency members and commissioners, the event, has received praise for helping to raise the confidence and capacity of nearly 100 delegates representing public, private and voluntary sector agencies.

August 2007 - Wider Impact Consultancy delivers innovative multi-media evaluation on behalf of the Groundwork Lancashire West & Wigan Moving On Moving Up project.

Wider Impact Consultancy is continuing to work in collaboration with Inspired Film and Video and Wonderweb Design to deliver a groundbreaking multi-media evaluation report on behalf of Groundwork Lancashire West & Wigan.

This latest report highlights the ‘Moving On Moving Up’ project, which aims to support unemployed adults off incapacity benefits and into employment, training or further education.

As Groundwork Executive Director Bob Allen points out, ‘Building on 24 years’ experience as a Groundwork Trust and with committed, experienced and trained staff, we are a catalyst to helping people make that first difficult step to move into further training, volunteering, part-time and full-time employment.

July 2007 - Wider Impact Consultancy delivers innovative multi-media evaluation on behalf of Connexions and Stoke City Football Club.

Wider Impact Consultancy has been working in collaboration with Inspired Film and Video and Wonderweb Design to deliver a groundbreaking multi-media evaluation report on behalf of a local partnership. Utilising the latest technology we have brought the views of local young people to life in a format which is revolutionising the way such reports are presented.

Representatives of Connexions, Stoke City Football Club and most importantly local young people have been given a unique platform to tell the world ‘what works’ and what is needed to make a real difference to the lives of young people who ‘just need a lift with their education, training and employment opportunities’.

June 2007 - Wider Impact Consultancy supports Staffordshire University deliver its Annual Review Report

Utilising the innovative Client Centred Multi-Media Evaluation, Wider Impact Consultancy is working in partnership with Staffordshire based Inspired Film and Video and Wonderweb Design to support Staffordshire University deliver its Annual Review Report.

Edwin Lewis of Wider Impact Consultancy points out, ‘This is really good news for us, as it helps to endorse the hard work we have put into what we know is an innovative and groundbreaking approach to the way reports are presented. We are particularly proud to be supporting our local University.

This is the first time the product has been used to support delivery of an Annual Review document and it is planned to make it available to other Universities and private sector companies both nationally and internationally’.

What is believed to be the Countries first Client Centred Multi-Media Evaluation was piloted by Stoke on Trent YMCA, assessing their sports facilities and has since been utilised by Connexions Staffordshire to evaluate a local youth development project.

June 2007 - Wider Impact Consultancy selected to deliver the development of an Exit Strategy of the Cannock Chase, Burntwood and Brownhills Objective 2 Strategic Development Package.

The Exit Strategy is being commissioned by the Local Partners Group to develop and agree for each project within the Package, key lessons learned, future implementation and responsibilities and funding.

The Exit Strategy will focus on the success of the Package and provide information as follows: good practice, value for money, economic, social and physical impact, assess management and delivery of the programme and review of programme performance.

May 2007 - Wider Impact Consultancy carries out an independent evaluation of a Birmingham faith based mentoring programme.

Wider Impact Consultancy is delighted to deliver an independent evaluation of the Birmingham based New Hope Mentoring Programme. The report identifies good practice, in particular the unique and important role mentors have to play in supporting male and female prisoners and ex-offenders re-build their lives.

The report identifies a ‘window of opportunity’ prisoners are often left to face alone when they have made the decision to make positive impacts on their lives.

Wider Impact Consultancy is particularly impressed with the professionalism of the New Hope Mentoring Programme, as it delivers what is needed, to mentors and clients, no matter what their faith or background.

April 2007 - Wider Impact Consultancy thanked for delivery of evaluation of innovative Youth Works programme by Groundwork Wigan & Chorley
