Wider Impact has been commissioned by Stoke on Trent College to carry out research into understanding offender’s education, training and employment needs and opportunities to support the development of initiatives to enhance offenders’ ability to enter the Labour Market.
With an objective to support the Stoke on Trent based ‘City Break’ Project, aimed at supporting ex-offenders into employment, the commission involves surveying male and female offenders and ex-offenders inside and outside prison environments. The commission will also involve liaising closely with employers, education and agencies tasked with supporting offenders and ex-offenders.
Wider Impact Director, Edwin Lewis says, “There is no doubt that this work is important and timely; and builds on our previous work researching projects linked to offender interventions. We welcome positive contributions to this commission” Edwin can be contacted at edwin@widerimpact.com
