We have just been made aware of the below funding opportunity:

The Royal Bank of Scotland has announced that the 2nd Funding round of its £2.5 million Skills and Opportunities Fund will re-open for applications on the 19th August 2016.

Charities, social enterprises, community groups, state-funded schools and colleges across the UK and Ireland will be able to apply for funding of up to £35,000 to help people in disadvantaged communities develop create or access the skills and opportunities they need to help themselves and skills that will enable them to get into work or start a business.

Please note that applicants cannot apply for a grant higher than 20% of their turnover. The RBS has split the country into seven regions, each with its own decision making board, in order to distribute our Skills & Opportunities Fund. Although all regions will be looking to fund projects that enable people to help themselves, each will have differing priorities recognising regional differences.
Prior to applying for funding, it’s worth looking at your region’s priorities and making sure your application responds to them.

I trust this is useful and ask that you feel free to circulate as you feel appropriate.

Kindest regards

Edwin :-)
